Release: SEEC Welcomes 50th Member
WASHINGTON, D.C—The House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition (SEEC) welcomes its newest member, Congressman Keith Ellison of Minnesota’s Fifth Congressional District.
Upon joining SEEC, Rep. Ellison (D-MN) said: “Environmental sustainability is one of the pillars of my work in Congress. Earlier this year, I introduced the End Polluter Welfare Act with Sen. Bernie Sanders, which would end over $100 billion in subsidies for the oil, gas and coal industries. I am proud to join members of the House Sustainable Energy and Environmental Coalition to pursue an agenda that creates a cleaner, greener America.”
“Congressman Ellison possess a record of unquestionable strength on the issues of importance to SEEC,” said SEEC Executive Director Kara Allen.“We are pleased to have another passionate and committed advocate join us as we work to advance a clean energy economy while protecting the air we breathe and the water we drink.”
With the addition of Congressman Ellison, SEEC brings its total membership to 50 House members.
